What are your favourite novels at the moment. I say at the moment because we change as we progress through life. I don’t mean novels that you are supposed to like because they are part of some artificial canon dictated to you by self-declared experts. I mean stories that really moved you, individually that touched your heart and left a resonance in your soul. Three books that come to mind in that respect and resonate with me and which incidentally were also made into fine films withstanding the test of time are:
The English Patient by Michael Ondaatje
Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak
Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates
What are your favoutites? I would love to hear.
