Letters to Jude on Talk Radio Europe

Below is the link to my interview with Ger Sweeney about my new novel Letters to Jude on Talk Radio Europe yesterday.

Another nice review from Amazon this time:
‘James Lawless’s challenging novel uses as narrative framework the letters between its protagonist librarian Leo Lambkin and his former flame, Bernarda, a Spanish au pair. In order to conceal his correspondence from his cold wife Lil, he invents the pseudonym Jude for Bernarda, and thus begins a complex exploration of the human condition through the medium of language, religion, philosophy and psychology, none of which, it would appear is ever an adequate means of communication for the author.
Lawless employs a variety of voices and styles which mirror Joyce and Beckett with passages often echoing Ithaca and Oxen of the Sun in Ulysses, as well as Finnegans Wake itself which is referenced.
This novel is not for the average reader but, if one goes the distance with it, the reward is well worth while and surely establishes Lawless as an extraordinary modern writer.’ Dr Declan Collinge
